Hi, I’m Raymond!

I've wanted to tell stories as long as I can remember, and that obsession has defined my entire career. From teaching myself how to shoot and editing to graduate school to where I am now, story has always been the core of what I do.

Whether writing, filming, or editing, I'm constantly finding new ways to craft entertaining, emotionally resonant stories that inspire. I pride myself on finding the emotional hook in every project, because without that heart even the best information falls on deaf ears. This is what helped lead to my Emmy nomination in 2020.

But great storytelling doesn't just happen in a vacuum. I love building systems that bring stories to life efficiently and effectively. At my current role, I built our video production capabilities from the ground up, from equipment purchasing to establishing production processes and best practices, while coordinating shoots across three states to meet and exceed our social media and broader marketing goals.

In short, I'm a storyteller who doesn't just sit and wait: I’m going to find the best angle, best system, and best way to tell stories that entertain and inspire.

  • 2022-Present | Marketing Videographer

    –    Designed and implemented a full video production system from zero, scaling annual output by over 50% per year.

    –    Direct end-to-end production of social, digital, and broadcast projects across 3 states and 12 regional offices while maintaining 100% on-time delivery.

  • 2026 (May-September Contract) | Forest Field Marketing Fellow

    –    Produced monthly photo, video, and social media content to drive public awareness and action around field studies of Beech and Butternut trees.

    –    Combined field data collection with brand ambassadorship, translating on the ground conservation work into compelling digital storytelling.

    –    Directed brand, training, and commercial campaigns for clients across construction, healthcare, nonprofit, political, and automotive sectors.

    –    Produced, scripted, filmed, and edited on-air spots across news, talent branding, and local business campaigns.

    –    Produced and edited an Emmy-nominated long-form special that was featured across Kentucky’s largest viewership region.

  • 2015-2022

    –    Fill marketing needs for small businesses and nonprofits including West Virginia Public Broadcasting by telling their stories through film. Additionally, create and produce podcasts ranging from film history, movie news, and baseball.

    –    Worked hand in hand with marketing team to build and deployed university video marketing strategy while simultaneously recruiting, training, and mentoring a team of 5 students per year.
